Privacy Policy

Who We Are

Our website address is: https://techdack.com
At TechDack.com, your privacy matters. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you visit or interact with our website.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help detect spam.
An anonymized string (hash) generated from your email address may be shared with the Gravatar service to determine if you are using it. The Gravatar privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once your comment is approved, your profile picture may become publicly visible.

Media

If you upload images to the website, avoid including embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors may download and extract such data from images on the site.

Cookies

If you leave a comment, you may opt to save your name, email, and website in cookies. These exist for your convenience so you don’t need to re-enter your details for future comments. These cookies last for one year.
Visiting the login page will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. It contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, several cookies store your login information and screen preferences. Login cookies last two days, while screen preference cookies last one year. Selecting “Remember Me” will keep you logged in for two weeks. Logging out removes the login cookies.
Editing or publishing an article sets a cookie in your browser. This cookie contains no personal data and simply notes the post ID of the article you edited. It expires in one day.

Embedded Content from Other Websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g., videos, images, or articles). Embedded content behaves in the same way as if you were visiting the source website directly.
These third-party sites may collect data, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with their content — including if you have an account and are logged in on those sites.

Who We Share Your Data With

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email to help verify the request.

How Long We Retain Your Data

When you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are stored indefinitely to recognize and approve future comments automatically.
If you register on our site (if applicable), we also store the personal information you provide in your user profile. Users can see, edit, or delete their personal information anytime (except their username). Website administrators can also view and edit that information.

What Rights You Have Over Your Data

If you have an account or have left comments, you can request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including data you’ve provided. You can also request deletion of your personal data. This does not include any data we are obliged to retain for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where Your Data Is Sent

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service to protect the site from abuse and ensure a safer environment for all users.
